Fujifilm X100

I’d been looking into buying a smaller camera for a while.  The D700 is just too big for certain situations, heavy and gets attention when I’m trying for discreet street shots.  I needed a quality camera which doesn’t weigh me down or generate too much attention.

No doubt about it, it has its little annoyances which I’d read about online, such as the auto focus, power up speed and a confusing interface.  It has many plus points however, small, discreet, stylish (reminds me of a Leica M2), perfect fixed focal length and above all amazing quality in a small stylish package.  The X100s has been announced, virtually identical in looks but with superior sensor, auto focusing etc.  Not yet sure if I’m tempted, I’m still happily shooting the X100.

Here are various shots I’ve taken with it over the past year.
