About – Tutor

Tutor / Development Worker / Co-ordinator

As a teacher I have extensive experience of working with ‘hard to reach’ young people, adults, disabilities and much experiance working in mental health alongside MIND. Projects include ICT, Music technology & Film/Digital Photography. I currently co-ordinate the Dearne Electronic Community Village, a charity based in the Dearne Valley, South Yorkshire running a range of free accredited learning activities centred around ICT & Employability. I also have 11 years experience teaching in further education colleges (ECDL/OCR/ITQ/CLAIT) as aTutor/Exams officer.

I am very experienced with the voluntary sector and understand the difficulties faced to raise funds and comply with local, regional and national government initiatives and agendas. I enjoy developing and implementing new services and curriculum development. I have budgetary experience and the ability to work to very tight deadlines to meet objectives.

I have considerable experience in supporting learners, staff and volunteers with their education and social welfare.

Rory is a reliable, intelligent and highly creative professional with great compassion for those he works among. He set very high standards for himself and gets very high achievements out of those he teaches and works with. His work in all areas is high in accuracy and superb in quality. He is a man of good humour and rich in imagination.
